We went swimming for the first time this summer. We had so much fun. Emma and Logan were a little nervous but with a little encouragement, they both we having fun by the end of the day. Boston and Jaegan love the water, Jae put on some water wings and jumped in the deep end and loved swimming around. Cant wait to spend the hot summer days at the pool.

GNO ( girls night out)

We have such a fun time together! We get together once a month and do different activities. Last month we made watch bands, and this month we had a tea party. There is a very cute house in Farmington that they turned into Teas N Me. We all dressed up and laughed all night. If anyone is interested, you are all welcome. Cant wait til next month.

What was I thinking

Last night while Ben was at YM, I took the boys to run around town with me. I was going to have the girls today and wanted to get some things done without them. The Oaks girls are having a girls night out once a month and this month we are having a tea party. There for, I had to go find a hat and gloves. I wanted to get it done and so I left in a hurry and forgot Jaegans shoes. We headed to Target and found a couple of cute hats, but when we didn't look at the toys Boston had a melt down. Jae also started to loose it. It was pretty late and they should have been in bed. So I bought a hat and headed to the mall to look for gloves. Again, Jae had no shoes so I am carrying him and Boston likes to step in each tile. So we are moving slowly. Anyways to make a long story short. Jae runs away and I cant find him. Freaks me out, Boston is crying, I find a cuter hat and so we have to take the others back to Target. I make a deal with the boys that if they hang in there for a few more minutes, I will get them a treat on the way home. So the only treat that I can think of, that you don't have to get out of the car for is Ice Cream cones. So we stop by Arctic Circle because they have mini kiddie cones. Well, they hand me giant ice cream cones. Boston actually did fine with his, I had to stop once and lick the sides. Jae on the other hand did not do so well. So now I have sticky tiered boys. So I make them one more deal, that if they stay awake til we get home, they can get in the bath tub. So we pull in the garage at 9:30 singing to keep them awake. Get them in the tub, and then finally to bed. They both crashed.
I don't know why I think the way I think. But I hope that the boys will remember our crazy times and just love their crazy mom.
Just a side note, I got a call on the way home, saying the girls are not coming today. So I could have just went today.

Boston had his last day of preschool today. He has made really great friends. We have loved car pooling with his best friends Cooper, and playing at his house. Ms. Amber has been awesome. She is so patient with him. I cant believe how much Boston had grown up this year.

We cant wait to start next fall. I cant believe that Boston is that much closer to kindergarten. Fun growing up..

Update

Okay, I know I have not blogged in forever. I hate blogging with no pictures and I haven't taken any cool ones lately, so there for no blog.
So just a real quick update.
My most favorite thing is that Ben and I ran a half marathon. My father-in-law had put together a team at his work, and their were a few drop outs so Ben and I took their places. I was very nervous the night before, but because I had ran 10 miles just a few weeks before I figured, whats another 3.1
It was so cold the morning of the race, 30 degrees. You can drop clothes along the race, but I was worried about that, so I just started in my short shorts, and my running shirt. It was so beautiful. We started in Eden and ran around the dam, and down Ogden canyon. It was so fun. I cant wait to do it again. At about mile 11 the 3 of us ( Craig, Ben and I) split up and ran the rest of the way alone. This was hard for me, because I need someone to pace me. I used up all mt energy catching up to Ben and then couldn't keep up. He ended up beating me by like 30 sec. I finished in 2 hrs and 35 minutes. My goal was 2 1/2 hours so I thought we did pretty good.
After the race was pretty fun except I felt like my calves were on fire. I would have rather kept running, it didn't hurt as much to run as it did to walk. Luckily there was good food at the end of the race. They even gave you a metal for finishing.
Anyways, like I said, I loved it and cant wait to do it again. Next year, I expect more people to join us and if not, to at lease be there to cheer us on at the end.

Also, I bought a sewing machine today. I helped Oakley do a little sewing for her clothing line the other day and had so much fun, I thought it would be a good idea to do a little sewing around the house. I'm not sure if I have made a mistake yet or not. I brought it home and started to set it up, and it was a mess. I got so frustrated that Ben took over and figured out what I was doing wrong. How embarrassing, my husband had to thread my bobbin for me. I am a beginner what can I say. So we figured it out and I sewed a little bit on a blanket that we had. It looks okay I think, its a kids blanket, so I guess it doesn't really matter. Next I'm going to try to sew some pajama pants. Wish me luck.
Well, sorry this blog is so boring, dont worry Jaegans birthday is coming up and so I will take some pictures and blog about that.

Race for the Cure

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I hate blogging with no pictures. I haven't taken any cute ones for a while.
Today we went to the Gateway and ran a 5K for Race for the Cure. We have done this for a couple of years. Karen's mom died of breast cancer, and we have more people than we would like in our family that have been affected with breast cancer. It is so inspiring to go and see all those people support the cause. This year was the first year that Ben and I actually ran the race. I have to admit I got misty eyed more than once, running by people with survivor shirts, and families cheering for their loved ones.
Everyone is welcome to join us next year. We always have a great time.
