"What? Are you being Serious?"

Sorry the pictures are so little. 1st one- her leg 2nd - her with her are over her head 3rd- face 4th- front view of face, with her hand over her right eye..
So, yesterday I woke very excited to go to our 3D ultrasound. Ben and the boys were coming and I was excited to see our little fella.

While I was getting ready, I remember thinking, how crazy would it be if we found out we were having a girl and not a boy. I quickly dismissed this crazy idea, For heavens sake, I saw the little pee-pee at our 15 week appointment. Dr. Alajo had told me it was a boy. I had a few boy names that I was trying to talk Ben into and I think we may have had it narrowed down to either Cache, Dane, or my favorite Cormac. ( It would have taken a lot of talking into with Ben)

So off we go. We arrive at the Dr office, checked in and are called back about 20 minutes later ( not bad for a OB office). The boys take the seats and I plop myself down on the table. Jae asks " mom, are you sick", no buddy, I have to sit here so she can look at the baby.

We get started and I quickly tell her, we already know it is a boy, but maybe you should just make sure. She goes about her business, checking to make sure all organs are functioning and that the legs and head are the right size. She never says , yes you are having a boy, but she didn't say no either. I just assume that yes we are having a boy and that she just didn't tell us. She is taking her time with us, talking to the boys, giving them suckers, joking around with us. Then she starts to look at the face, she keeps saying " what a beautiful face, big lips, so cute" I'm like, what the heck, how can you tell. It looks more like a blob to me, but I can see a baby in there. I can see that it has ears, and that its hand is over one eye. It does not like to be bugged and keeps moving. So active, it does a total 180 from the beginning of the appt to the end. During on point, it yawns and we all "ooohh". Boston says something and its little mouth opens and closes, it looks like it was talking back to Boston, so cute. We are loving watching our little boy. Then she tells Boston and Jae to come here, she has something for them. She takes them over to her side of the bed and hands them some pictures and is whispering to them. All of a sudden it hits me, She has not told us what we are having, what if she is telling them we are having a girl. I again dismiss this. Boston takes the pictures over to Ben and shows him. Boston can see a leg in the first picture and then Ben asks what is in the 2nd picture. Boston doesn't remember and so she says, " Tell them its not a brother". "WHAT!" I say, are you being serious?" In my most shocked and horrified voice. I'm not ashamed, pure panic raced through me as she said this. A GIRL! I just started to cry. I have a HUGE fear of having a girl. The night before we found out what Jae was, I cried, so scared that it might be a girl. I look at Ben and he is grinning ear to ear. He has always known it was a girl. He told me, that he always told people, " the Dr, said boy" but he never actually said it was a boy.

So here we are having a girl, and after about 18 hours of being in shock, I can say I'm actually really excited to have a girl. I even took the boys shopping today and bought a couple of dresses for her. We could be in a lot of trouble, there are so many cute clothes. Boston was just as bad as I was. He kept bringing me shorts and shirts and shoes for her. I was good though and only bought 2 dresses. But there were some cute shoes that would have went with those dresses, who know, you needed more than one pair of brown and one pair of black to go with kids outfits.

Well, I will try and post a few pictures when I get them scanned, so everyone can try and see her giant lips and ears. I hope that she has Ben's lips and Jaegan's ears, and Boston's Brain.

I still cant believe that it is a girl. However, I know that she was ment to be. When we decided to have another baby, we were hoping for a girl. ( At lease Ben was) and I know that some one's prayers were answered. Seems the Grandmas were all praying pretty hard for a girl.

Well, little Ellsie, we are excited you are coming. Heaven help me.

My 1st 20 weeks

It has been so long since I have blogged about all the things going on in our lives, so I am going to try and start again. It is so fun to go back and read about all the stuff that we have forgotten about.

So Since I have not blogged at all about being pregnant, I thought I would start there.

It is weird being pregnant again. We thought that we were done after Jaegan was born, and so to be expecting again is like starting all over. Don't get me wrong, we are super excited to have another baby.

When we found out the we were pregnant we were really surprised actually, we got pregnant the first month that we were trying, I think that it was a blessing because if it would have taken a while, I'm afraid I may have changed my mind about having another baby. Therefore, I know that we are supposed to have this little one .

I felt like I started showing really early with this little guy. So I vowed to keep running and trying to stay in shape. I did really well for the first 14 or 15 weeks or so. Ran about 3 times a week and lifted a little, but one day I came home, sat down and watched a movie and when I stood up, couldn't walk. Literally could not take one step. I was stuck right there, it took a few minutes for my hips to work and since then, I have given up on running and just tried to walk some. I can walk to Boston's school and back and it is 2 miles, so I feel like that is a good work out. Hopefully it will get nicer outside so I can do it more. Tis the season for races, especially the Ragnar and I have been pretty bummed that I am not running it this year. I know that I should not complain about my weight, but I worked really hard to lose my baby weight over the last year or so and so to put it back on has been depressing. I have to just keep telling myself that I can run after the baby is here. I plan on signing up for a half marathon for the Spring on 2012 so hopefully that will get me motivated to get back in shape.

This pregnancy has been 100 % different from either one of the boys. I was super nauseous from about 8 weeks to 14 weeks, luckily I didn't throw up to much. But with the boys I was many sick for a week or two. I'm so glad that part is over. I also have noticed that all my aches and pains are coming way earlier. My hips hurt so bad, if I sit for any lenght of time, I walk like an 80 year old for the first few steps and then they start to work. My back hurts, maybe because my belly and boobs are so big ( i know TMI)but that is a lot of extra weight to be carring around. Oh and boy, the headaches. Every single day. I have tried Tylenol, caffeine and finally buckets of water. I have been drinking so much water lately that i spend a good portion of my day going pee. But it seems to be helping so I guess I will keep drinking. My only other complaint would be that this time around, I seem to be allergic to all lotions. I broke out in a rash all over, and decided it was my lotion, so I bought a ton of Palmer's lotion, and it made me brake out too. So I went to the Dr and she suggested stopping all my lotions and gave me a prescription for the itching. It took a good week to go away and finally I found some good lotion that seems to be working.

I don't mean to complain about being pregnant, I know that it really is a blessing to be pregnant. We found out pretty early that we are having another boy, but was told not to buy anything. We go back on Thursday for our 3D ultrasound to find out for sure. We have a few names that we like, but can never agree on one. So if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to share.

Well, I will try and keep everyone updated better. Maybe post a few pictures.

Spring Break 2011

Since this week is Spring Break, I decided that I wanted to try and make each day so fun. I have it all planned out. We will have a boy cousin sleep over, go to the park, have a picnic, take the boys somewhere that they really want to go. Let them stay up late and eat popcorn. Watch movies and play lots of playsation.

So far, we have done the cousin sleep over, where Boston had a major melt down( see older post), bought the boys matching shirts that they wore to the park, ( which was awesome, becuase there was a million kids at the castle park, and we could spot our boys so easily) . Stayed up late( you are problebly like, "Jenny, Boston is going to have another melt down", yeah, I dont learn my lesson) eating popcorn and playing playstation and watching Disney Channel. So far so good.

Ill try and keep updated on the rest of our week. Hopefully we will be havin to much fun to blog to much.

If anyone has any good ideas of fun activities, let me know, or if you want to come.

PS. Poor Ben had his Spring Break last week and had to work, so we didnt do anything fun. And he is missing out on this weeks fun too. Dumb school, thank goodness its almost over.

Spring?

I love this weather! Even if it only last a day or so. The boys and I found this awesome park and we were the only ones there.
The boys were so happy to be outside.
They are such good friends, best friends!

The Face of an Angel

I love this face. He is one of my favorite people, BUT, he has one problem. He HATES!!!! to sleep. I'm pretty sure if his body didn't fall asleep on its own, he would not sleep. Unfortunately tonight was one of those nights. Full on melt down, there have been a few times in his short life that he has had a melt down like this. Once when he was 2, laying on his bed, screaming, " I don't want to go to sleep" over and over, tears flowing like down his cheeks. Just out of control. I'm not sure you will really understand that scene. Hopefully you will never see it. The second time, Boston was 4, on vacation to Disneyland, Easter Sunday, strapping Boston into his car seat after church. I'm sure he knew he was going to fall asleep on the way back to the hotel, and again, same melt down. This time however there was witnesses. The whole Gunn family was present. It was awesome! One day I will get it on tape. So, Boston is now almost 6. Unfortunately we had that melt down tonight. It was my fault though. You see, Boston needs to go to bed on time and have a routine. This week-end we totally messed that up. Late nights at friends, sleeping at the Grandparents, and tonight, I thought that I would throw in a cousin sleep-over. Need less to say, I am getting pretty good at talking him down, and I'm sure it doesn't hurt that he is older. I love Boston so much. Hopefully one day he will LOVE to sleep and this will just be a funny memory. ( It is for the Gunn's, every time we talk about it, they laugh. Its not funny for me yet).

My Boys

What a bunch of cuties!!!

Quick Update

I try update our blog all the time but I get so bored waiting for the pictures to upload that I just give up and find something else to do.

So here are a few new things to entertain before I can get some pictures:

1. We are expecting again. I'm sure this is not news to most of you, but it is the most exciting thing going on. We are having another boy, at lease that is what the Dr. said last appt. We go back next week for the official word. Ill keep you all posted if it changes. I'm super excited for another boy thou. I cant lie, I would be a little sad if it really was a girl. (Don't tell) . The only bad part is we have no boy names, we had a girl name picked out for years and so if anyone had a super awesome boy name, please, feel free to share.
2. Ben is getting so close to graduation! Yeah! He has been so busy lately, that we have all missed him so much. I am so proud of him and cant believe that I am lucky enough to be married to him. Graduation is on May 6th, but he actually has classes til the first of Aug. Right before the baby comes. We are not going to know what to do with him when he is home every night, but I'm sure we will find something for him to do.
3. We took the boys skiing. We were so ready for a little get away and went with my family up to Beaver Mt for the week-end. Just the adults skied on Saturday and had a blast. I love skiing at Beaver Mt, it is so pretty and it always snows . I felt pretty good skiing all day even thou I had to stop and pee alot and my ski pants kept coming unbuttoned and slipping down.Pretty much what I expected being 13- 14 weeks prego.
The littles had a blast sledding a couple of days, but both our boys loved skiing on Monday. This is Boston's 3rd year skiing and he does really well. We have to remind him to turn and not just head down the hill. Jaegan did well too, we kept him on the magic carpet and he was doing really well the first 4 or 5 times down and then got tiered and had to take a break. I was a little disappointed that he was done, but after a snack and rest, he was ready for the rest of the day. I love that we all love to ski and it is something that we can do together.
4. Both of the boys are still loving school. Boston is excited to go to school for a full day next year, and I cant lie, I am too. Jaegan is learning so much. He loves going to preschool, even though his "girlfriend" moved away. I'm excited to see what next year brings for him. He will miss Boston but I think the new baby will keep him plenty busy.
5. I am no longer working. ( I should have put this at the top) I wasn't sure what I would do with myself if I didn't have a job, but I am staying plenty busy and have been helping out in Bostons class a lot. I promised myself that if I was a stay at home mom, I would work out more, have a cleaner house and be in a better mood. Well, my house a little cleaner and I have worked out twice in the last 2 weeks, and I do have more time to cuddle my babies. So I would say, yes, I did what I said I would do. I love staying home with the boys.

Well, it is past my bed time and I cant think of anything else, so I will stop for now. I really will try and post some pictures soon.

My Big 3-0

I had such a great birthday. I like to make a week-end out of my birthday and Ben is so good to go along with it. This year, I decided that I just wanted to get away. We ended up in Sandy, that's right, all the way to Sandy. We did a little shopping, eating, and swimming. The boys had so much fun, Boston was doing back dives into the water. Can you tell they couldn't wait to get in. We had so much fun.
On my actual birthday, I was feeling pretty good, I don't know what I was expecting, to just start falling apart I guess. But I went for a run, cleaned the house and was feeling pretty excited to be turning 30. I went shopping with my sister in laws, and was feeling pretty depressed that I couldn't find anything super cute to wear on my date with Ben that night. I decided that I was 30 now and should buy something totally out of my comfort zone and be more daring in my 30's. That is were the shoes come in. I think they are sooo cute. So I bought them and brought them home, started to get ready and put them on. Yep, that's when I decided they are not for me. I may be 30, but I'm still that same boring girl who sticks with the same old stuff that I liked in my 20's
Maybe when I'm 40, Ill be more daring!
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes.

Bringing in the New Year

This post is just a reminder to myself. I stayed up til 2:30 am
The boys made it to 11:00 pm
We had a pretty competitive game of bocce with the Crandall's
and Im pretty sure the girls WON!!

Accident waiting to happen

I know that you can not see this picture very well, just take my word, it was nasty.

As long as I have know Jae ( yep, his whole life 3 1/2 years) he is always getting hurt. I have decided it is because he is a Wright. I have so many memories of my brothers doing stupid tricks and dangerous stunts. It is just in his blood to go full throttle. He bumps his head all the time. My friend and I have a running joke about Jae bumping his head. It happens daily. If you have read my last few posts, you know that Jaegan dislocated his hip and burned his hands all in one week. I thought that I should maybe explain what happened.
Jaegan and Boston decided that they would jump from the top of our headboard onto the bed. ( My brothers use to jump off the roof of the house onto mattresses.) All was going well, we had not caught them yet, until Boston landed on Jae. We heard the blood curling scream and ran to it who had broken what. Jae, later told me that" his leg fell off and then popped back on". After a few hours he finally started walking on it again and all seemed well. Until recently, he will hurt it and cry a little, complaining his hip hurts. Hopefully this is not the start of a long road of hip problems.
His little hands were not a scary, we were looking a reindeer and it was freezing, there were fire pits around, and Jae just walked up to see what was in it and grabbed it. Burning both hands. A couple weeks later, they finally peeled and are back to normal.
Our latest accident, happened when he was being dropped off in our driveway. He opened the door and it just pulled him out, right onto his head. He hit landed right on his head. Giving himself road rash right on his noggin. He has a nice size bald spot and scab. Poor kid, he really needs a haircut, but cant really do anything until his head heals a little more. He bruised his elbow as well. I was talking to my brother and decided we need to just buy him a helmet and make him wear it daily.
Ill keep you posted, I'm sure we have not seen our last injury.
