Jenny took Jae to the doctor today. He's had a pretty nasty fever and a grumpy disposition since last night and wasn't any better this morning. He was diagnosed with Hand, Foot and Mouth disease. Can you think of a more disgusting name for a disease?
I don't know much about it, but apparently you get nasty sores and ulcers in your throat that are very painful. No wonder he didn't want to eat or drink anything. We got him some medicine that's supposed to make the sores go numb so he can eat. The last update I got from Jenny, he was doing a little better, had eaten some and was now sleeping.
It's also very contagious, which means when one little jammer gets it, the other is bound to follow. The doctor told Jenny to make sure that Boston washes his hands and stays as far away from Jae as possible. I guess there has been a rash of cases (not that you get a rash. Sorry, poor word choice) in the daycare. I think we've informed all of our friends and family to be on the lookout for grumpy, warm children.
