My 1st 20 weeks

It has been so long since I have blogged about all the things going on in our lives, so I am going to try and start again. It is so fun to go back and read about all the stuff that we have forgotten about.

So Since I have not blogged at all about being pregnant, I thought I would start there.

It is weird being pregnant again. We thought that we were done after Jaegan was born, and so to be expecting again is like starting all over. Don't get me wrong, we are super excited to have another baby.

When we found out the we were pregnant we were really surprised actually, we got pregnant the first month that we were trying, I think that it was a blessing because if it would have taken a while, I'm afraid I may have changed my mind about having another baby. Therefore, I know that we are supposed to have this little one .

I felt like I started showing really early with this little guy. So I vowed to keep running and trying to stay in shape. I did really well for the first 14 or 15 weeks or so. Ran about 3 times a week and lifted a little, but one day I came home, sat down and watched a movie and when I stood up, couldn't walk. Literally could not take one step. I was stuck right there, it took a few minutes for my hips to work and since then, I have given up on running and just tried to walk some. I can walk to Boston's school and back and it is 2 miles, so I feel like that is a good work out. Hopefully it will get nicer outside so I can do it more. Tis the season for races, especially the Ragnar and I have been pretty bummed that I am not running it this year. I know that I should not complain about my weight, but I worked really hard to lose my baby weight over the last year or so and so to put it back on has been depressing. I have to just keep telling myself that I can run after the baby is here. I plan on signing up for a half marathon for the Spring on 2012 so hopefully that will get me motivated to get back in shape.

This pregnancy has been 100 % different from either one of the boys. I was super nauseous from about 8 weeks to 14 weeks, luckily I didn't throw up to much. But with the boys I was many sick for a week or two. I'm so glad that part is over. I also have noticed that all my aches and pains are coming way earlier. My hips hurt so bad, if I sit for any lenght of time, I walk like an 80 year old for the first few steps and then they start to work. My back hurts, maybe because my belly and boobs are so big ( i know TMI)but that is a lot of extra weight to be carring around. Oh and boy, the headaches. Every single day. I have tried Tylenol, caffeine and finally buckets of water. I have been drinking so much water lately that i spend a good portion of my day going pee. But it seems to be helping so I guess I will keep drinking. My only other complaint would be that this time around, I seem to be allergic to all lotions. I broke out in a rash all over, and decided it was my lotion, so I bought a ton of Palmer's lotion, and it made me brake out too. So I went to the Dr and she suggested stopping all my lotions and gave me a prescription for the itching. It took a good week to go away and finally I found some good lotion that seems to be working.

I don't mean to complain about being pregnant, I know that it really is a blessing to be pregnant. We found out pretty early that we are having another boy, but was told not to buy anything. We go back on Thursday for our 3D ultrasound to find out for sure. We have a few names that we like, but can never agree on one. So if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to share.

Well, I will try and keep everyone updated better. Maybe post a few pictures.

you look great!

and i totally know how you feel, i worked really hard & lost 23 lbs. and it's hard to not be able to push my body to do what it was just a few months ago.

also, i have had the SAME problem with my hips, and was recommended to go to a chiropractor. it has helped a TON! so if you're able to do it, i'll pass along the advice & say you should totally try it. give it a couple of visits, i found out that my hips & pelvic bones were actually popping out of joint as i was sleeping & that's what was causing so much pain. so maybe you have the same thing? i don't know, but it's worth a try if it relieves the pain, right?

good luck, and hang in there! this pregnancy has been my hardest by far & sometimes it is okay to vent. :)

I had the same problems with my last pregnancy (3rd pregnancy, 4th baby) and every one I talked with said the third pregnancy is the worst. But any after that is a piece of cake! Congrats on the new baby! Your family is so cute.

I am so excited for you! I can relate to the entire post. There is nothing fun about being pregnant except the final product! It takes me an entire year to get back to normal. I am finally feeling like my hips and back are functioning somewhat. I am excited to start running again! I only know 3 cute boy names, Cohen, Grady and Jenson!! Feel free to use any of them, they'll be like 3rd cousins for petes sake!
