Race for the Cure

Sorry no picture with this blog. I forgot my camera.
We have made it an annual event to go and walk/run the 5K Race for the cure. Karen's mom died of breast cancer and my Grandma Catherine is a breast cancer survivor. It is a cause near and dear to our hearts. We love going down to the Gateway and joining in the hordes of people that come to support. ( 17,000 or so this year) People make the funnest shirts and we love to see all the crazy sayings and ideas people come up with to talk about Boobs. It is so much fun. This year Amberlee and Karen made these awesome banners with pictures of Grandma Catherine and Grandma Donnalee. We walked with them and had lots of people stop and ask to see them. They did such an awesome job. I wish I had a picture. They looked like mini quilts.
SO next year, I think that we need to have a bigger group. It is always the week-end of mothers day. We should plan a night to make our shirts and finish up the banners and go down with the Wright family. We should show our support and help one another. 1 in 4 of us with get breast related problems, most likely cancer. We need a cure.
Anyways, if I can get some pictures from someone I will post them. It was such a good time.
